Book Proposals

If you’re not accustomed to the world of professional writing and editing, you may not know an important industry secret: a full-length manuscript is NOT required to sell a non-fiction book to a publishing house. Editors and literary agents choose books based on the strength of sales proposals; these typically include only one-to-three chapters of your book. (Only fiction must be complete before initial submission.) Reinventing the wheel isn’t necessary; why waste a year or more of your life writing a full-length book before you’ve made a sale?

I can take you from concept to saleable proposal in a short time, depending on the material you’re able to share with me. An agent letter is included in my standard proposal package, enabling you to send out queries and get your work into the hands of a professional literary agent who will then take your proposal to editors. Once you sell the book, you are free to choose me as the ghostwriter for the full-length work, or write it on your own.

My ghostwriting clients have included a psychologist, a neuroscientist, a travel expert, a CEO, a nutritionist, a belly-dancer and a memoirist, to name a few. If you’re not a trained writer, hiring a professional wordsmith is the first step to selling your book. As an experienced author, I understand that your book is almost like your child: I promise to handle it with the utmost TLC.
